Douglas (Doug) B. Mosher
3/30/1923 - 1/31/2010





Douglas B. (Doug) Mosher, age 86, died peacefully at his home, Sunday, January 31, 2010 after a short illness. He was born March 30, 1923 in Corry, PA to Hugh and Edna (Stonefoot) Mosher and grew up in Corry. He was a graduate of Corry High School and remained in Corry until moving to Rosemead, CA where he started his long career with California Spring Co. He retired from California Spring in 1988 and went to work for an affiliate company as a courier, which ended when he moved to Mustang to be near family. He immediately went to work for his daughter and son in law in the daily operations of their McDonald’s franchises, where he continued to work up to a couple weeks ago. His hobbies were taking care of his large yard, model trains and tractors. He was a member of Canadian Valley Old Iron Tractor Club and was an active member of Mustang United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Sue. Survivors include his wife Mildred of the home, one daughter Anita LaPat and husband Greg of Mustang, two grandchildren Brian LaPat and wife Julie and William D. Woodcock, seven great grandchildren and one brother Donald Mosher of Acadia, CA. Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Mustang United Methodist Church with interment following in Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, OK under the direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.

We are extremely sorry that we could not attend your fathers service, for by the time we found out about it, it was too late. We may not have spoken for a while, but you are in our hearts and prayeers for the things you did for Chris, we neveer had the pleasure of knowing your father but by the quality of you and Greg he must have been quite a person, and we know that Christopher will be in good company. Doug was such a pleasure to talk to. Even though I only saw him several times a year, each time I talked to him it was as if I had just seen him the day before! He was so inquisitive about the automotive industry and what I was doing at work - I worked at Carter Chevrolet - which was on his way to McDonald's in Kingfisher. You all are "good" people and I have been blessed by knowing each of you.
