Betty Smith, age 79, died Tuesday February 2, 2010 at home in Mustang. She was born June 4, 1930 in Shawnee, OK to John and Julia (Fisher) Mayer. She was a graduate of Little Flower Public Schools. Betty married Ralph on June 5, 1953 and moved to OKC. She moved to Mustang in 1996. She was a bowler in the Wilson’s League and the OKC Fire Department Red League. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and putting together puzzles. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, both parents, sons Don and Richard, brothers Frank and John, and sister Mary. She is survived by daughters Theresa Lunow and husband Larry of Gracemont, OK, Vickie Davis and husband Wayne of Plymouth, MA, and Karen Smith of Yukon, OK. Also by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and special friends and family Tamara Smithee, Donna Jackson and Dorthy Shaw. The family gives special thanks to Julie Brown of Hospice of Oklahoma County where memorial donations may be made. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00am Friday February 5, 2010 in the Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, Oklahoma, under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service.
