I was one of Scottie's teachers at Mustang Elementary. I remember all the kids, Missy and Scottie and Lindsey. My prayers go up for your family at this time. I was so saddened to hear of Missy's passing. May God's comfort be yours today and in the days ahead.

From age 3 at the Methodist Church, to girl scouts, to girl scout camp, on to Elementary, then Jr. High and High School, Melissa was always a great friend. I left Mustang in high school and moved back shortly after and she was always still there. I will miss her smile, her laugh and her love for other people. Her beautiful daughter Lyric will carry on her smile for the rest of her life... I love you all and continue to pray for daily. May God bless you in this tragedy and comfort you.

My heart goes out to your family at the loss of such a wonderful, vibrant ray of sunshine. It has been my pleasure over the years to know and love Melissa and Lyric. I had the pleasure of meeting Buck and Alayna recently when they came to visit Ashleigh, Alyana and I in Collinsville. She will be greatly missed by all of us. My prayers and thoughts go out to each of you.

I am saddened today to hear about Melissa's passing. I used to babysit her and Scottie. I had so much fun with her. And, later in life, she watched my children in the daycare. I had the privilege of knowing a beautiful girl and woman on the inside and out. My heart goes out to all of her family. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless you.
