Mary Helen Howard, age 88, died Wednesday February 17, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born November 15, 1921 on the family farm in Udall, Kansas to Noble L. and Louella C. (Hoop) Gray. She was a graduate of Winfield High School, Winfield, KS and moved to Oklahoma City in 1945. Mary lived in the Capitol Hill and Valley Brook area for many years. She worked many years as a cab driver and later as a sales clerk. She was a member of Shields Avenue Baptist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy M. Howard, two husbands Hayden L. Williams and Johnnie M. Howard, Sr. Also by four nephews James L., Wayne C., Robert K. & Michael A. Howard. Survivors include one sister Irma Lee Gray of Winfield, KS, niece Betty C. Rader and husband Scott of Augusta, KS, niece Mary Lou Howard of Wichita, KS, nephew Johnnie M. Howard of Oklahoma City, nephew Gary G. Howard and wife Bonita of Moundridge, KS and many great and great great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Friday February 19, 2010 in the Udall Cemetery, Udall, KS under the direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
