In Loving Memory
Ivan Monreth Faubion
6/17/1925 - 3/4/2010





Ivan Monreth Faubion was born on June 17, 1925 and passed from this life Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the age of 84. He was a life-long resident of rural Mustang and his greatest joy in life was his role as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In 1942 he joined the US Navy and served in the Pacific during WWII. In 1980 he retired from a civil service job at Tinker AFB and devoted his time to his farm and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret; his parents Monreth and Lou Faubion; three brothers Ollie, Lee and Elmer; and sister Gladys Eby. He is survived by son Earl Faubion and wife Charlotte of Oklahoma City; and daughter Monte Branscum and husband Maurice of Mustang. Also by seven grandchildren, Darin Branscum; Tracy Brown; Jon Faubion and wife Deborah; Tony Faubion; Bryan Ruiz and wife Garla; Scott Ruiz and wife Cheryl; and Michael Norman and wife Wendy; and seven great-grandchildren Marc, Bradley, Kylie and Christopher Ruiz, Tayler and Mason Branscum, and Morgan Faubion.

The family would like to give special thanks to the compassionate and caring staff of Arbor House Assisted Living Center, Mustang.

Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Forest Hill Christian Church, 2121 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Oklahoma City with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forest Hill Christian Church Building fund.
